All vertical and horizontal surfaces in our closets are constructed of top quality, industrial grade, melamine laminated particleboard. The board is 3⁄4” thick (not 5/8”) thermally fused melamine laminate providing the utmost in durability, long wear and cleanability. The board meets or exceeds specifications of the American Laminators Association and American National Standard ANSI A208.0-1989, Grade 1-M-3. There is no better melamine-laminated particleboard available anywhere.

Standard 1mm Product – Thick Edgebanding Visible exposed edges are banded with permanently affixed, 1mm with eased edge on both sides. The edge is permanently glued on and applied under pressure by an automatic edgebander. It is radiused on both sides. It is not a “T” molding, hammered in manually. This type of 2mm edge provides superior durability and resistance to chipping or peeling.

The closet systems and furniture are not merely screwed together, but are assembled with the latest in European 32 millimeter hardware. The fittings that hold the cabinets together are cam type “ready to assemble” furniture fittings. These fittings consist of both a male and female component, which lock together assuring the tightest joints possible. An additional advantage of this construction method is that the units can be dis-assembled, if desired, at some future time and then re-assembled without a loss of structural integrity. Shelf pins are plated steel, and our standard hanging rod has a 1 millimeter wall thickness, chrome plated tubular oval (not round) stock. This structural shape provides greater strength so that the weight of the clothes will not cause bending. The hardware used to support the hanging rod are also chrome or nickel-plated and like most of our hardware components, are fully adjustable.

Our drawer boxes are made of 5-ply birch with dovetail construction, not the stapled vinyl wrapped particleboard drawers typical in many other companies. Standard drawer slides are full extension ball-bearing slides with a 100 lb rating. Our 5 piece DLV door and drawer fronts are the most true-to-life alternative to 5 piece wooden doors offered in the market today. Our furniture grade UV finish is included on all woodgrain colors miter & French style doors include an accent glaze. All products feature excellent dimensional stability, color fastness and meet CARB II requirements. A full range of accessory moldings are available. All hampers and pullout baskets are solid chrome not wire.
